Ed Coleman is an award winning Multi-Camera Film Director working across Live Music & Events, Documentary and Branded Content.

His passion for music and film has led him to direct live broadcast Cinematic Multicam’s, Live Streams, Live video screens, Documentary Films, branded Content and Award Ceremonies with some of the world’s biggest artists including;

Lewis Capaldi, Green Day, Charli XCX, Robbie Williams, Glass Animals, Loyle Carner, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Slipknot, Bring me The Horizon, Justin Timberlake, Coldplay, The Muppets!, Cesare Ceremonini, Halsey, Megan The Stallion, Wolf Alice, Sigrid, First Aid Kit, Royal Blood, Ellie Goulding, Skepta, Arctic Monkeys, Paul Weller, Sir Rod Stewart, Garbage, Biffy Clyro, Martin Garrix, Marshmellow, Deadmau5, Ed Sheeran, The Flaming Lips, Pendulum, Chemical Brothers, Birdy, One Republic, Residente, Steve Aoki, Mark Ronson. To name a few!

Alongside working all over the world directing films and live video for this diverse range of artists, he has directed and produced tour content for a hugely diverse range of artists from Arianna Grande, Sigrid, Muse, Robbie Williams, Noel Gallagher, Timbaland, Miley Cyrus, Sigrid, Deadmau5 and Leftfield.

2025 has been another landmark year for Ed, directing the final leg of the Glass Animals “Tour of Earth”, culminating in a spectacular headline performance at Outside Lands to over 60,000 people, broadcast live on Amazon Prime.

This year also saw Ed Live video direct sold-out stadium shows for Cesare Cremonini, deliver landmark coverage of the Isle of Wight Festival for Sky Arts, and direct major festival broadcasts including EDC Las Vegas and Outside Lands for Amazon.

He also directed the final ever MTV Gonzo episodes with Jack Saunders in the UK, and closed out the year video directing Lewis Capaldi’s sold-out UK, New Zealand, and Australia tour.

In 2024, Ed directed the groundbreaking Glass Animals “Tour of Earth”, Charli XCX’s Brat launch shows across Europe, and the Isle of Wight Festival for Sky Arts, featuring headline sets from Green Day and The Prodigy. His international work included a live-to-cinema broadcast launch for BYD Cars in Saudi Arabia, 36 hours of continuous live broadcast at EDC Las Vegas, and the Wireless Festival in London for Amazon, alongside regular directing duties at MTV.

During 2023, Ed served as Video Director on the hugely successful and critically acclaimed “I/O” World Tour with Peter Gabriel, directing a 6K multicam concert film in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, now in post-production for global release. His work on the tour was featured in Light & Sound America, who interviewed Ed about his creative and technical approach.

Earlier in his career, Ed’s 2020 work at Abbey Road Studios for Barclaycard “Share The Stage” won a Silver Clio Award, produced with Iris Agency and Mercury Studios.

In 2019, he received multiple award nominations — including a UKMVA nomination and double Broadcast Award nomination — for his live directing with Arctic Monkeys and pioneering UHD live-to-live coverage of the Isle of Wight Festival.

Ed also gained widespread critical acclaim with the release of “Our Generation”, a documentary film exploring the making of The Who’s “Quadrophenia”. His fourth documentary for Sky Arts, it was named Pick of the Week across major UK TV guides and national broadsheets upon release.
