BIOGRAPHY
Ed Coleman is an award winning film and screens Director working across Live Music Multicam, Documentary and Branded Content.
Currently nominated for a 2022 broadcast award for Live directing work on the “The Live Revival” for Sky Arts.
His passion for music and film has led him to direct Multicams, Documentary Films and branded Content with some of the world’s biggest artists including; Justin Timberlake, Elton john, Wolf Alice, Royal Blood, Ellie Goulding, Slipknot, Coldplay, Sir Rod Stewart, Skepta, Arctic Monkeys, Paul Weller, Garbage, Biffy Clyro, Martin Garrix, Marshmellow, Deadmau5, Ed Sheeran, The Flaming Lips, Pendulum, Chemical Brothers, Birdy, One Republic, Residente, Steve Aoki, Mark Ronson and The Muppets!
Alongside working all over the world directing films and live for this diverse range of artists, he has directed and produced tour content for a hugely diverse range of artists from Arianna Grande, Muse, Robbie Williams, Noel Gallagher, Timbaland, Miley Cyrus, Deadmau5 and Leftfield.
2020 brought Ed success with his multi-camera work at Abbey Road for Barclaycard “Share The Stage” winning a Silver Clio at the 2020 awards. It is also nominated for a Music week Award so fingers crossed!
2019 also brought Ed huge critical acclaim and multiple award nominations (UKMVA nomination, and a double Broadcast award nomination) for his live directing work with The Arctic Monkeys and his groundbreaking UHD live to live directing work on the world famous Isle of Wight festival.
Ed also received huge critical acclaim with the release of “Our Generation” a documentary film about the making of the album and film “Quadrophenia” by The Who. Ed’s 4th Documentary for Sky Arts got pick of the week in all TV guides and mainstream broadsheets on the week of its release.
Ed is currently in development as Executive Video Director for a huge 2022 tour and 2 feature music documentaries.
